At Boost, we’ve built our brand based on a simple idea: Choose Now. But what does that actually mean? In this series, we’re setting out to explore how a Choose Now mindset can change the way you view and experience life. We’ll be talking to the people who've seized the day, stepped out of their comfort zones, and pushed themselves – physically and mentally – to achieve success. What’s the opposite of Choose Now? Is it procrastination? Is it not reaching our potential? What’s the science behind not pushing ourselves out of our comfort zones or refusing to take that leap? We’ll discuss how you can apply a Choose Now mindset to your own life – helping you to break down the barriers you might have – to making decisions and living life with a more positive outlook.
Imagine the scenario: one evening, you go to a concert. Then, weeks later, you wake up to find you’re now paralysed from the waist down.

This happened to Martin Hibbert.

Martin’s life changed on 22nd May 2017 when he found himself just two feet from the blast zone in the Manchester Arena bomb attack. His injuries led to a 14-hour operation which saved his life but meant he would never walk again.

Fast forward a few years and Martin decides to embark on the challenge of a lifetime - attempting to reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, aiming to raise £1million for Spinal Injuries Association at the same time.

In this hugely inspiring episode, Jay London and Martin discuss Martin’s life before and after the Arena event, the inspiration and training behind his challenge and his advice for people striving to apply the Choose Now mindset.
