From Pressure to Performance: Harnessing Stress to Enhance Leadership Skills

BAH!! I'M SO STRESSED!!
Or... "How are you?" "Oh, you know, stressed out, crazy busy."
We consistently address stress as a negative. This is often a placeholder for overwhelm or frustration. And, unfortunately, in US culture, if we're not super busy, stressed, and appearing to do all the things, we're not doing good enough.
What if we look at stress as an opportunity for learning and improvement? There is no way to learn or grow without getting at least a little uncomfortable. For example:
1. Stress as a Growth Lever - Like muscles that need to be stressed to grow, teams also need challenges to develop and strengthen. Harnessing stress positively can lead to significant improvements in performance and innovation.
Building Resilience Through Exposure - Scheduled and managed stress can enhance resilience, preparing teams to handle bigger challenges with more competence. Real-life stories from our hosts shed light on how previous high-stress situations trained them to handle future pressures more effectively.
